The photograph series Abandon documents a month-long trip I took around the US, starting in New York.
I moved from place to place, attaching ropes to abandoned cars I found on the side of the road, or to
broken houses and boats, and pulled them, all the while filming each encounter. It was my goal, even if I
could not move them, to connect to these strange objects, and in doing so, to expose my utter
helplessness.
